Assistant General Manager, Le Grand
While attending John Cabot University in Rome, Abby McCutchen fell in love with the incomparable Roman dining culture and the tremendous warmth of its people. During this time in Rome, she developed a warm friendship with brothers George and Tamaz Gomiashvili, also students at John Cabot and the eventual owners of Le Grand. At the heart of their relationship was their shared love of food in one of the world’s greatest dining cities. Over many delicious bowls of pasta and good glasses of wine their relationship evolved as did their crystallization of what an exceptional dining experience should be. After Abby graduated with a degree in International Business in Rome, she made her way back to the U.S., eager to jump start a career in hospitality.
Years later, Abby found herself in Los Angeles, working in Sales and Development at Sun Pacific Farms, one of the largest citrus producers in California. Eager for a new challenge in the industry, she was approached by the Gomiashvili brothers with an opportunity to join the team at Le Grand. Today, Abby brings her lifelong love of dining, dynamic personality and entrepreneurship skills to the fast-paced environment at the Downtown Los Angeles restaurant.
As the Assistant General Manager of Le Grand, Abby oversees all day-to-day restaurant operations, where she supports the front and back of house teams and maintains a positive company culture. When Abby is not working, she can be found checking out the flourishing Downtown Los Angeles dining scene and stopping by the farmers market to grab fresh, local ingredients for savory and sweet home cooked dishes.
